So, I’m here. I landed tired, having had nightmares most of the flight from Houston. As usual, I flew with the window shaded, and didn’t open it until after we touched down. The landing strip was 20 feet from the water; it was beautiful. As we taxied to the terminal I got a glimpse of my surroundings. Three quarters of the way between Fiji and Bonaire (in terms of being a tropical island), this place is beautiful. Not quite as lush as Fiji, but orders of magnitude more lush and beautiful than Bonaire. My very first thoughts were: I wish Nancy and Mel were here with me.
I miss them both more than I could have imagined.
